MADISON, Wis. — Trial dates have been scheduled next spring for a father and daughter charged in connection with the killing of a Madison man, online records show.
Baez, 68, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the Jan. 25 shooting death of Luis Sotero Herrera, 34. His daughter, Melissa Basilio-Ruiz, 45, faces six counts of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and one count of harboring or aiding a felon by falsifying information. Both have pleaded not guilty.
Their trials are scheduled to run from April 27 through May 4, 2027.
