Waterloo man arrested in armed road rage incident

A 29-year-old Waterloo man was arrested last week after a report of road rage with a firearm in Madison.

According to an incident report on the Madison Police Department’s website, officers responded to a traffic incident at S. Gammon Road at Watts Road at about 12:30 p.m. Jan. 25.

Police were called when an individual reported the suspect had flashed a gun during the incident. The suspect’s vehicle was located in a nearby store’s parking lot unoccupied. When the suspect returned, he admitted to having a gun in his center console, according to the incident report.

Police arrested the 29-year-old for carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct while armed, and intentionally pointing a firearm at a person.
