MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A First Alert Day has been declared for Thursday. Spring-like temperatures will bring a threat of spring-like storms which includes a risk of strong to severe storms. There will likely be two rounds of active weather. The first during the morning and midday hours and another during the late afternoon and evening hours. The best chance of storms would come during the evening time frame. There is a Level 1 risk of severe weather across the area. Gusty winds, large hail, and a quick spin up tornado will be what we watch. While the risk level is pretty low, it’s not to be discredited.
