Wisconsin driver blows .13, clocked at 130 in 55 mph zone before first OWI arrest

MCFARLAND, Wis. (WFRV) – A driver in southern Wisconsin who was clocked at 130 mph in a 55 mph zone was arrested for OWI after blowing a .13 and admitting to being high on marijuana.

According to the McFarland Police Department, a Sergeant patrolling US Highway 51 clocked a vehicle going roughly 75 mph over the posted 55 mph limit and conducted a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop, which happened around 2:15 a.m. on May 23, the Sergeant reportedly noticed signs of impairment and administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

The driver consented to an evidentiary chemical breath test, which resulted in an alcohol concentration of .13. They were subsequently arrested for their first OWI offense…
