Smyrna Man Accused of Check Fraud

Isaac Nyameke Amihere, 24, of Smyrna, is accused of depositing a $35,884.37 check, altered to include his name as the payee rather than the true payee – Atlanta HydroVac, into his PNC Bank account on May 28 at 9 a.m. at the Highlands Park PNC Bank Branch, 4500 S. Cobb Drive SE in Smyrna, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Amihere is charged with check fraud. He was arrested on Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

Amihere remains in custody, without bond.
