Former jailer charged in inmate’s death pleads guilty in case that drew major attention to conditions at Fulton County Jail

ATLANTA — A former detention officer has pleaded guilty in connection to a high-profile inmate death that drew widespread scrutiny to conditions inside the Fulton County Jail.

Arron Cook entered a guilty plea to aggravated assault and violation of his oath of office stemming from the 2018 death of inmate Antonio May.
