Shelby County deputy charged with DUI

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputy was charged with DUI after a traffic stop on I-240 this weekend.

Magdalena Roman, 47, was pulled over by a state trooper just after midnight early Saturday, after allegedly making a sudden lane change without using a signal while driving 70 in a 55 mph zone.

The trooper stated he could smell alcohol, and she admitted to drinking beers before driving, according to an affidavit.
