Accused intruder released from hospital, booked in jail after resident shot him

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – An alleged home intruder who Memphis police say was shot when an attempted heist took a turn this week has been released from the hospital and is now booked at the Shelby County Jail.

Lamont Spraggins, 45, is charged with aggravated burglary, felony property theft, and failure to obey a traffic officer.

Spraggins is accused of masking himself and then forcing entry into an apartment Tuesday afternoon at Greenbrook at Shelby Farms.

Police say one of the apartment’s residents came home while Spraggins was taking a TV off the wall and shot him…
