Storms knock out power for over 100k MLGW customers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis, Light, Gas and Water is working to restore power after thunderstorms knocked out power to over 100,000 customers.

At it’s peak, there were approximately 130,000 customers without power during Saturday’s storm. You can check the status of repairs on the MLGW Outage Map.

“Our immediate priorities are restoring power to hospitals, water treatment, and sewer facilities. Following that we will prioritize circuit restorations that will have the largest number of customers impacted,” MLGW said in a press release…
