MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A stretch of Riverside Drive in downtown Memphis will close Monday as the city prepares for the upcoming RiverBeat Festival.
According to the City of Memphis, Riverside Dr. will shut down between Beale Street and Georgia Avenue beginning Monday, April 6. Contractors are expected to start closure operations between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.
The city says the closure will follow the same traffic control plan used during previous construction work along Riverside Dr.
Detours will be posted in the area, but pedestrian access to riverfront attractions will remain open…
