Man arrested at No Kings protest wants answers after having charges dropped

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Those arrested from the No Kings Protest that happened in March believe having their charges dropped does not equal accountability for the actions of the Memphis Police Department.

They say the protest was peaceful and didn’t warrant pepper spray and arrests.

David Rahaim, one of the three men who were taken into custody, says that after being pepper-sprayed, shoved to the ground, and jailed, he still wants answers, including who the officers involved were.

“That’s when they tackle me from behind, and I land somewhere about in here,” Rahaim explained. “It’s odd to be here and look at it, and it is not chaotic, but I mean, it’s a street that people use.”…
