The Memphis City Council honored retired Fire Chief Gina Sweat during Tuesday’s city council meeting after decades of work.
The resolution, adopted by the city council on April 28, recognizes Sweat’s 33-year career and service to the Memphis Fire Department (MFD) and the City of Memphis.
