Men tackle, rob victim of gun at downtown park: MPD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Several men are on the run after allegedly tackling a victim to the ground and then taking off with his firearm downtown, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Officers say on April 25, they responded to a robbery at Front Street near Jefferson Avenue around 6:30 p.m.

MPD reported that a male victim was walking in the park when a group of men tackled him to the ground.

When the victim grabbed his gun in an attempt to protect himself, officers said one of the suspects took his weapon and ran from the scene to a parking garage across the street…
