Newk’s Eatery, a Jackson, Mississippi-based fast casual restaurant chain, targeted Phoenix as one of its next growth markets – the furthest west the more than 20-year-old company has expanded.
The restaurant chain, known for its sandwiches, salads, soups and pizza, said that Newk’s could have up to 20 locations in the Phoenix area in the next several years.
The company is looking to grow its brand in Phoenix through a franchise model it is also pursuing in other markets, but does not have any local franchisees signed on yet.
