Chandler police use latest tech, patrol car to stop DUI wrong-way driver

CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Chandler police stopped a suspected DUI wrong-way driver from hurting anyone last month by using the latest technology and one of their patrol cars.

Officers said the driver, identified as Jhon Aramis Sanchez Torres, 25, was going north in the southbound lanes of McQueen Road near Ray Road just before 7 p.m. on June 25.

That was when workers in Chandler’s Real Time Operations Center started tracking Torres and giving officers his exact location, officials said.
