Man in critical condition after multi-car crash in west Phoenix; road closed

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is fighting for his life after a serious crash shut down a stretch of a major road in west Phoenix early Thursday morning.

The collision was reported near 43rd Avenue and Claremont Street, north of Bethany Home Road, around 3:15 a.m. Police arrived and found a man had been ejected from one of the vehicles. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, according to authorities.

A Phoenix police officer was seen putting a woman in handcuffs at the scene. Authorities have not yet said if she is facing charges in connection to the crash.

Arizona’s Family witnessed one homeowner’s front yard fence damaged due to the wreck. Large amounts of debris, including glass and vehicle parts, were scattered throughout the street. One vehicle had severe damage to its driver’s side doors, and a second vehicle ended up in front of a nearby home…
