At least 2 hurt after fiery crash near I-10 in west Phoenix

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – At least 2 people are injured after a fiery crash in west Phoenix early Thursday. The crash happened near the 51st Avenue exit just off Interstate 10 around 2 a.m. Traffic cameras showed the tanker truck erupted into flames on the roadway after appearing to have hit a sedan, not far from a gas station and the exit bridge. At this time, details are extremely limited but at least 2 people were taken to the hospital in unknown condition. Crews on the scene confirmed the tanker was holding gasoline but was empty before the crash.
