PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The APS worker who stopped a toddler from running into a busy downtown Phoenix intersection is describing the moment he jumped from his truck to reach the child.
Robert Butler said he was heading home from work, driving a route he didn’t normally take, when he saw the toddler break free from a parent and bolt toward the intersection at Lincoln Street and Grant Street.
Surveillance video shows another APS worker taking off after the child, but a gate blocked his path. Butler, who was driving by, stopped his truck and jumped out…
