SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A traffic impact alert starts Wednesday night for drivers in north Scottsdale. There will be lane restrictions along Loop 101 as crews begin work to make the commute smoother between Shea Boulevard and the Princess Drive-Pima Road exit.
ADOT said its work in this area should be done by late summer. While new lanes have been open in this area for a couple of months, crews are now moving into the final step of the Loop 101 widening project: smoothing out the concrete to give drivers a much better ride.
The agency is set to shave off a tiny layer of concrete, get rid of road bumps and add tiny grooves to limit tire noise. To keep traffic moving, ADOT officials said they are sticking to lane restrictions at night and on weekends rather than implementing full closures…
