Armed woman shot by officer inside Scottsdale PD substation, police say

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A woman is hospitalized after she allegedly pointed a gun at police staffers before being shot at a Scottsdale PD substation Thursday morning.

Just before 10 a.m., authorities reported a shooting at the Scottsdale Police McKellips Station near McKellips and Miller roads.

Police received reports of a woman inside the customer service lobby of the station who allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at an unarmed police employee. Investigators say the woman then moved to another service window, where she pointed the gun at another man who was there to talk to police.

Police say that when an officer entered the lobby, he ordered the woman to drop the gun. The woman then reportedly pointed the gun at the officers before he fired and hit her at least once…
