I am thrilled to announce that the Zoo Miami Foundation is partnering with Biscayne Bay Brewery in an exciting effort to raise awareness about the American flamingo and its conservation. Through this collaboration, two percent of the proceeds from every can of Tropical Bay IPA sold will directly support flamingo conservation and educational initiatives through the Zoo Miami Foundation.
This partnership is also part of a larger campaign to have the American flamingo officially designated as the state bird of Florida during the next legislative session in Tallahassee this coming March.
Florida deserves a state bird that is as unique, iconic, and extraordinary as the state itself. Today, that distinction belongs to the Northern Mockingbird.
