It’s the first foray for any Crandon Men’s Golf Association team to compete at the state level and, so far, the 15-man amateur squad, dotted with several Key Biscayne residents, has fared exceedingly well.
Last week, Crandon completed an unbeaten run in the Southeast Regional best-ball tournament, concluding with a 21-3 rout of Eastpointe Country Club of Palm Beach Gardens last Thursday, the day The Masters began.
That earned them a spot in the Florida State Golf Association State Championship that will took place April 20-22 at Aileron Golf Club in Port Charlotte, where 12 region champions will gather for the first-place trophy…
