A large brush fire prompted a major emergency response Sunday afternoon as firefighters worked to contain flames and protect nearby homes and roadways.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded around 2:24 p.m. to reports of a grass fire in southwest Miami, near SW 120th Street and SW 137th Avenue. More than 15 MDFR units, along with the Florida Forest Service, were dispatched to the scene.
