Miami’s I-95 corridor among Florida’s most dangerous holiday routes

Remember when Florida’s “Arrive Alive” slogan became one of the state’s most successful traffic safety campaigns?

That same message, at least in spirit, has been tweaked to “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Click It or Ticket” and “Put It Down, The Text Can Wait” these days.

As 2.35 million Floridians are expected to drive this Memorial Day weekend (keep in mind that Orlando ranks as America’s No. 1 domestic holiday destination and Miami is No. 5), the surge of commuters will no doubt be driving on many of the same routes, such as I-4, I-95, I-75, US-27 and US-41…
