Teen charged after hitting Milwaukee Police officer with car bound for trial

MILWAUKEE — A teenager accused of hitting a police officer with his car while fleeing Water St. was bound for trial on Friday.

Hunter Meyer, 18, of Rothschild faces nine felonies and one misdemeanor after an incident involving gunfire and reckless driving over the Fourth of July weekend.

Milwaukee Police responded to gunshots coming from a parking lot where Meyer was allegedly driving in circles with six other people in the car. They say he ignored commands to get out of the car and nearly struck several officers, then hit a different officer as he fled the scene…
