150 fish found dead at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is investigating why about 150 fish were found dead in Lake Nokomis near the western lakeshore boat launch.

Officials say a common warm-weather fish disease is likely the cause, and according to the DNR, fish can be more vulnerable this time of year as warming water lowers oxygen levels and puts stress on their immune systems.
