Minneapolis kicked off its first Summer Safety Resource Fair on Saturday at Peavey Park. It’s a location city leaders chose intentionally after several shootings in the surrounding blocks earlier this spring.
“We wanted to show up in a place that’s seen harm and replace that with connection,” said Minneapolis Neighborhood Safety Director Amanda Harrington.
