Drivers Warned Against Taking Shelter Under Overpasses During Storms

Traffic.  If you are driving in the metro area and there happens to be a thunderstorm brewing, get to somewhere safe.  NOT under an overpass.  This is so dangerous.  Granted, if there is a possibility of hail, you do want to protect your vehicle.  but you need to find some other way to do it other than this situation that happened over the weekend in the Twin Cities area.

There is an X account (formerly Twitter) that has an account that has verified weather-related posts.  The name on the account does not have the person’s real last name, but he is a degreed meteorologist.  It’s Max Velocity, and he had some things to say regarding people seeking shelter under an overpass on an Interstate in Minnesota.
