A bomb squad assisted with removing a dangerous chemical from a South St. Paul neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
The South St. Paul Paul Police Department said firefighters “discovered a fairly old chemical that is highly flammable and may be unstable given its age” while responding to a call in the 200 block of 22nd Avenue South.
The department said the St. Paul Police Department Bomb Squad was called to assist with safely transporting the chemical for eventual destruction.
