Minneapolis experienced a surge in late-night violence when police were called to a fatal shooting on Portland Avenue South. The Minneapolis Police Department reported that officers arrived at the 1500 block around 11:48 p.m. on September 4 to find an adult man critically injured from gunshot wounds. Attempts were made to save the man’s life but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
