Saturday Dumpling Co. owners to open first full-service restaurant

The Saturday Dumpling Co. team is bringing its first full-service restaurant to a familiar space near Gold Medal Park.

Jujube (pronounced joo-joo-bee), from the husband-and-wife team of Peter Bian and Linda Cao, will open in late 2026 inside the former home of Izzy’s Ice Cream at 1100 2nd St. S in Minneapolis. They’re calling the concept an “east-meets south vision” that blends Texas-style barbecue with Asian flavors.

The kitchen will be led by chef Jake Johnson, a Texas native who has spent time in the kitchens of Twin Cities restaurants like Animales BBQ, The Bachelor Farmer, Estelle, Kim’s, and Black Duck.
