San Antonio man arrested in Baldwin County on identity theft, mail theft charges

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – A man was arrested May 26 after authorities allegedly found him in possession of stolen mail containing personal information from at least 10 people, along with burglar’s tools and firearms.

Marco Antonio Tavarez faces four felony charges: possession of burglar’s tools, trafficking stolen identities, mail theft with sensitive personally identifying information, and possession of a firearm by a person forbidden.

According to a complaint filed June 2 in Baldwin County District Court, Tavarez was found in possession of grinders, bolt cutters, arrow keys, a cutting tool, a crow bar, a hammer and a file set.
