MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — The University of Mobile is seeing record enrollment heading into the 2026-27 school year, with residence halls filled to capacity for the second year in a row.

According to a university news release, they are seeing growth not only in first-time freshmen but also in overall enrollment and retention.
School administrators said that for the fall 2026 semester, they have a 6% increase in overall enrollment, a 28% increase in first-time freshman enrollment, a 7% increase in retention, and a 17% growth in on-campus housing.
