Mobile man accused of assault, theft attempt at Cricket Wireless

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers have arrested a local man accused of assaulting another man after an attempted theft.

Mobile home invasion: 3 people held indoors against their will, officials say

According to an MPD news release, 36-year-old Chad Singleton of Mobile was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, as well as first-degree attempted theft of property.

The release said officers were called to the Cricket Wireless on Airport Boulevard around 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 25 for a disorderly complaint.

When they arrived, officers said they found a man with minor injuries, who said Singleton had attempted to take his phone, and when that did not work, Singleton began attacking him.
