MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A car chase in Mobile Thursday ended with an arrest, according to the Mobile Police Department.

According to an MPD news release, just after midnight Thursday, Aug. 27, officers attempted to stop a car in the area of Broad Street and Government Street for a traffic violation, but the driver allegedly refused to stop.
The driver allegedly led police on a pursuit down Government Street that ended when the car hit a ditch near Maitre Park, according to officials.
The driver got out and ran, but officers caught him “a short distance later,” the release said…
