MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A former Alabama Port Authority worker has been charged with obtaining confidential information about 379 fellow employees.
Daniel Joseph Gill, 55, of Bay Minette, surrendered Tuesday at Mobile County Metro Jail.
Gill faces nine counts of computer tampering, seven counts of theft of trademarks or trade secrets and two counts of possession of forged instrument. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday and bonded out of jail.
The Port Authority confirmed in February that it had terminated several employees after an internal investigation centered on the McDuffie Coal Terminal.
