MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Residents tell News 5 the overgrowth and illegal dumping on Caruthers Way in Mobile is out of control and something needs to be done about it.

“It shouldn’t look like this,” resident Richard Godwin said.
Abandoned tires, garbage, and overgrown vegetation can be found along the street. Godwin said he’s reached out to the City of Mobile on several occasions to tend to the problems stemming from a property across the street from his home.
“I have contacted 311, several of my neighbors have contacted 31, and like I say again, as you can see, every time we call, they say ‘We’re making a note of it. We’re going to put it before the people and we’re going to send somebody out,’” Godwin said…
