Baldwin County’s public transit sees rising demand and more riders

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) – Public transportation can be a challenge in Baldwin County, but the Baldwin Regional Area Transit System is helping people get where they need to go, and now more riders than ever before are relying on it.

WKRG News 5 spoke with one woman who said BRATS has changed her life.

Most mornings you can find Daphne resident Katie Evans on BRATS. For the past 15 years she’s relied on the public transit system to get to and from work every day.

“I have peace of mind knowing that I’m going to get picked up and brought to work and then picked up and brought home,” Evans said. “It’s changed my life a lot.”…
