An agreement to bolster security at Mobile County’s public high schools received another year of support Monday after the Mobile County Commission unanimously voted to reauthorize the program.
The agreement, if reauthorized by the school system, allows the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office to continue providing 12 deputies trained as school resource officers for the county’s high-school feeder patterns. The annual contract is valued at $1.06 million.
