‘Not playing around’ – new initiative in Mobile County takes aim at repeat offenders

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A convicted felon accused of opening fire on an occupied home is now headed to a grand jury.

It is one of the first tests of Mobile County’s new crackdown on repeat offenders.

Kiaeem Nasir Brown, 26, had a preliminary hearing Monday on charges of shooting into an occupied building and an unoccupied vehicle. The charges stem from an incident in June on Circle Drive in Prichard. He also was supposed to have a probation revocation hearing Monday, but a judge reset it for October at his lawyer’s request…
