MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Mobile woman is recovering at home after being shot in the head outside her home in July. Genade Colley recently underwent surgery to help with seizures caused by the shooting. Her friends and the community are coming together to help her through what is expected to be a long recovery.
For Genade Colley, the road to recovery has been anything but easy.
The 51-year-old was shot in the head in July after a night of celebrating her birthday with friends. Her family says Colley had just pulled into her driveway on Rickarby Street when gunfire erupted.
Investigation ongoing
Investigators say approximately 100 rounds were fired, with bullets also hitting a nearby home. No one inside that home was hurt.
Police have not made an arrest, but investigators believe minors may have been involved…
