Mobile woman accused of retaliating against witnesses in drug ‘kingpin’ trial

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A federal grand jury has indicted a woman on witness retaliation charges, alleging that she sought to intimidate witnesses who testified at the trial of a drug “kingpin.”

Tierra Shatalia “Badd Twin” Douglas, 35, of Mobile, faces charges of conspiracy to retaliate against witnesses, three counts of retaliating against a witness and contempt of court. She pleaded not guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court.

The contempt charge carries a six-month maximum sentence. But the other four counts come with enhanced penalties because the alleged intimidation occurred because of the victims’ attendance at or testimony in a criminal case. If convicted, Douglas faces a maximum sentence of life in prison…
