No doubt Mobile man fired first in teenage girl’s shooting, co-defendant testifies

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A 22-year-old man charged with murder in the death of a 14-year-old girl admitted Tuesday that he fired his gun that night but testified that co-defendant Archie Terrance Petite shot first.

Mobile County prosecutors have agreed to recommend a 20-year prison sentence for Lamonyae Forrest in exchange for his testimony. He told jurors that he was standing in his driveway on Michael Donald Avenue in May 2022 when a car came down the road.
