BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Attention all Baldwin County drivers! A road detour on the Beach Express is causing traffic backups for some drivers, especially during peak travel times.

As of Sunday morning, southbound traffic towards Orange Beach on State Route 161, the Beach Express, is being detoured for the next phase of the new Intracoastal Waterway Bridge project.
Commuters say the slowdown is already noticeable.
