Popular Midwest gas station is competing with Buc-ee’s as it opens several Gulf Coast stores

Casey’s, a Midwestern convenience store chain known for its homemade pizzas, is expanding along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast after acquiring Fike’s Wholesale in what the company described as the largest purchase in its history.

The 24-hour chain now operates two locations in Mobile and one each in Foley and Gulf Shores, Alabama. It recently opened seven stores along the Florida Gulf Coast — five in Pensacola, two in Gulf Breeze and one in Fort Walton — as well as three in the Panhandle, including two in Navarre and one in Pace.

Following the acquisition, which included nearly 200 stores across Texas, Alabama and Florida, Casey’s now operates 2,900 locations nationwide and is the nation’s third-largest convenience retailer, according to the company…
