Mobile County EMS adds on-board blood to treat traumatic injuries faster

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — First responders with the Mobile County EMS are implementing a new, life-saving program.

According to a news release, three Mobile County EMS ambulances will start carrying packed red blood cells and plasma as part of its Blood on Board program on June 1.

Mobile County EMS is the “only ground EMS provider along the Gulf Coast between New Orleans and Fort Walton Beach offering this capability,” the release said…
