LOXLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — Students in the first graduating class of Baldwin Preparatory Academy were honored in the school’s first graduation ceremony.

On Monday, May 19, the inaugural class of 190 seniors was recognized, demonstrating the impact of the school’s educational approach.
“Through Baldwin Prep’s unique model, students graduate not only with academic achievement but also with industry credentials, dual enrollment college credits, hands-on experience, and direct connections to careers in high-demand fields,” according to a news release from Baldwin County Public Schools and Baldwin Alliance.
Among the 190 students:
- 67% of graduates plan on entering the workforce
- 19% of graduates plan on attending a 2-year or 4-year college
- 75 college scholarships were awarded, totaling $733,000+
- 12 apprenticeship opportunities were offered to seniors
- 106 industry credentials and certifications were earned across Baldwin Prep’s 12 career pathways
“This first graduating class represents exactly why Baldwin Prep was created,” said Adam Sealy, principal of Baldwin Preparatory Academy. “We are incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished and excited to see the impact they will make in our community and beyond.”…
