Rumor and speculation are circulating about data centers and whether some will be built in Modesto, Patterson or other cities in Stanislaus County.
A post Wednesday on Modesto Councilman Chris Ricci’s Facebook page seemed to test the waters. It said a development company is lobbying council members about a data center. The company was identified as NorthPoint Development, a data center developer with an office in Sacramento.
