Road work happening on Stanislaus County highway until November. What to know

The California Department of Transportation is improving the pavement on Highway 33 from Patterson to Crows Landing in western Stanislaus County.

The transportation agency is calling it a “partial depth recycling” project. Workers strip several inches of asphalt, blend it with stabilizing materials and spread the mixture to form a stronger base for the highway.
