The Modesto Police Department reports that a pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on Claus Road.
As reported Thursday, the collision near the intersection of Claus Road and East Orangeburg Avenue around 6 a.m. led to a road closure while officers investigated.
The early investigation indicates a man in a mobility wheelchair was in or near the crosswalk when he was struck by a car traveling north on Claus Road. The man, identified as 63-year-old Darrell Kostner, was pronounced dead at the scene…
